Learn English with Loquus

English spelling does not always tell you how a word sounds. Listen to a Dictionary entry, then replay it slowly before trying it aloud. Pay attention to the stressed syllable and the whole phrase, as well as the individual letters on the screen.
Questions, verb tenses, and small words such as a and the can change an English sentence. Use Grammar Center to look up a pattern that has caught your attention. Read its examples, then return to a lesson or review session with that question in mind.
Think about a conversation you might actually have, such as making plans or asking for help. Browse the Phrasebook for relevant expressions and check unfamiliar words in the Dictionary. When you review learned vocabulary, say a useful phrase aloud alongside the word you are recalling.
