Which version of each language will I learn?
You’ll learn neutral Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, the French of France, and American English. Arabic is Modern Standard Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese uses simplified characters. Dutch has two courses, one for the Netherlands and one for Belgium.
Can I set the app to my own language?
Yes, if it’s one of the 14 languages Loquus teaches: choose it under App language in Settings to change menus and buttons. Meanings and hints are written in English, and on iPhone and iPad they’re translated on your device if Apple translation supports your language, once its language pack is installed.
Can I learn more than one language at a time?
Yes. Tap the language name at the top of the Learn tab to switch courses or start a new one, and each course keeps its own progress, streak, and goals. With free access, your three daily lesson starts are shared across all your languages.
Are all 14 courses free?
Yes. Every course and its standard lessons are part of free access, so adding another language doesn’t cost you anything. Free and Plus shows what Loquus Plus adds.
